A look back at our Candlemas celebration at the Institute

At Institut de Touraine, learning French also takes place outside the classroom. For Chandeleur, our students had the pleasure of discovering this French tradition during a convivial gourmet event.

To celebrate the event, a crêpe foodtruck set up in the courtyard of the Institut, offering students the opportunity to savor a specialty emblematic of French culture. Sugar, chocolate or caramel: everyone was able to choose their favorite crêpe… while practicing their French in a real-life situation.

This experience enabled the students to put their oral skills into practice in a natural and spontaneous way. Ordering, exchanging, asking questions: all opportunities to progress while gaining confidence. These informal moments are a perfect complement to the lessons and help to make learning more lively and concrete.

Beyond the linguistic aspect, this celebration was also a real moment of sharing. In between classes, students and staff got together to enjoy this warm tradition.

At Institut de Touraine, we’re convinced that language is also learned through experience, encounters and the discovery of French culture. There’s nothing like a delicious crêpe to loosen tongues and help you make progress!
